"T1 Warrior" - 1 Pair of Handmade Wooden Earrings
Let me introduce you to Cecilia and Amelia, they are 13 year old twins with type 1 diabetes. I first met them a few years ago when their little brother and my boys were on the same baseball team. You tend to notice little things when you watch people. I noticed that the girls both had these little boxes on the backs of their arms and each carried a bag with them. Those little boxes were insulin pump patches that work as their pancreas, continuously delivering insulin into their systems. These two young ladies have always been so incredibly helpful and as sweet as can be. They are currently trying to come up with the money for a diabetes alert dog (DAD). This dog will not just be a companion, he or she will potentially save one of their lives.

Laser engraved on 5/32" maple plywood, then hand painted and sealed with resin. Stainless steel hypo-allergenic earrings posts, attached using professional jewelers adhesive, with metal butterfly and rubber backs.
